I imagined sharing fall leaf patterns with you today but as I asked around and surfed for inspiration I came across an older pattern by the eminent tatter Jane Eborall.

I think I admire the back of the pin the best.

That all chain tatting is so nicely done. And it reminded me so much of the daisy by Mrs. Odum. This sample tatted by Amrutha.

And changing the line of a chain makes a distinct difference in the overall pattern of a piece. Recall this vintage piece? Examine in the inner corner. If the chain on the inner section leading to the trefoils changes, it can create the look of a maple leaf.

And here is another bit of eye candy saved in the files of the Online Tatting Class which is based on Tammy Rogers' Maple Leaf pattern.

And may I suggest you look at the Lizbeth colors for fall. #101 is just perfect for a leaf. And #136 is great for accents. And #188 would be fantastic to add some chrysanthemum flower touches to the tatting. You can find Lizbeth thread at your tatting supplier stores.

But fall is more that just leaves. There are berries, too.
